What We Do

The Organization Fund Advisory Board (OFAB) funds items and/or services which will benefit all or a large number of registered organizations. OFAB consists of five students, two faculty or staff and two non-voting staff. The student members are elected by the treasurers of registered organizations at the annual treasurers meeting; the faculty and staff are appointed by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

OFAB funds come from half of the collective interest earned from all of the organization fund accounts. At the annual treasurers meeting, the OFAB presents expenditure proposals to the treasurers of all registered organizations. As a group, the treasurers may vote to spend some or all of the money on any number of the proposals or they may choose to send the money back to the organizations whose accounts helped generate the funds.

How do you get involved?

Every treasurer participates by attending the annual meeting and voting on the proposals. To become a board member, please contact ofab@uiuc.edu. A yearlong commitment is required. Suggestions for proposals are always welcome and may be submitted to any of the board members.

All equipment is available at the Illini Union Student Organization Complex, 280 Illini Union. All equipment is available for FREE RSO use.
