Student Organization Resource Fee
What is SORF?
In 1978 this fee was introduced as a response to the need to support student programs
and activities.
- $14 mandatory (but refundable) fee collected each semester at UIUC
- Supports programs and activities of Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s)
- Funds Student Legal Services (SLS) and the Tenant Union – both of which are
available to students providing they do not receive a refund of their SORF fee
Student Legal Services
Student Legal Services is located in the Illini Union Room 324 and provides students
with legal assistance.
Tenant Union
The Tenant Union, located in Illini Union Room 326 provides information to students
regarding housing, including references such as landlord complaint statistics.
